Worked on Romanian language localization enhancements in the common-voice/common-voice repository, focusing on expanding the language data model to include Romanian variants and regional accents. Used TypeScript and data modeling techniques to support accurate representation of dialects, improving localization accuracy and user interaction for Romanian-speaking users. Addressed issues with variant and country code mappings to prevent misclassification and streamline downstream data processing. The approach emphasized maintainability and traceability by referencing specific commits and related changes for review. This work laid the foundation for future improvements in dialect coverage and data quality, demonstrating a methodical approach to localization and language data modeling.
