Worked on the mitre/hipcheck repository to address front-end layout and rendering issues, focusing on HTML templating cleanup for improved UI consistency. Using HTML and CSS, tackled padding inconsistencies across base, footer, and navigation templates, ensuring alignment remained stable across different screen sizes. Removed an unnecessary span from the index template to streamline the DOM and enhance rendering efficiency. Additionally, cleaned up whitespace in navigation templates to maintain stable spacing and reduce layout shifts. These targeted changes improved visual reliability and simplified future maintenance, demonstrating a methodical approach to front-end development and bug fixing within a short project period.
