Worked on the inaturalist/inaturalist repository to enhance the Taxon Detail History Chart, focusing on improving data visualization for long-term research trends. Implemented a default timespan display of the last 10 years and introduced an auto-zoom feature to show the most recent 11 years, aligning the chart with common research periods. Adjusted chart tick configurations to improve readability and trend interpretation, streamlining the user experience for researchers. Delivered these frontend changes using JavaScript and data visualization techniques, resulting in more efficient data exploration and faster pattern recognition for conservation and scientific analysis, with minimal regressions during the update process.
