Kasper Schnejder developed and enhanced the aau-giraf/foodplanner-api over three months, focusing on secure authentication, robust parent-child account management, and API maintainability. He implemented end-to-end One-Time Password (OTP) flows for parent-child binding, using C# and ASP.NET Core with DTO-based data handling and database schema updates to support cascade deletes. Kasper refactored authentication to support multi-role access and centralized JWT secret management via Infisical, improving security and maintainability. He also standardized error responses and RESTful routing, refactored controllers to use interfaces, and maintained comprehensive unit tests, resulting in a more stable, secure, and developer-friendly backend API.
