During two months on the aau-giraf/foodplanner-api repository, EQ15JQ built and enhanced end-to-end meal management features, focusing on privacy, security, and performance. They implemented user-scoped meal and ingredient retrieval using C# and ASP.NET Core, modernized authorization with policy-based access control, and optimized backend throughput with asynchronous programming. Their work included integrating frontend meal creation flows using Flutter and Dart, strengthening data privacy with improved DTOs, and refactoring the data access layer for robustness. By addressing authentication, database migrations, and integration testing, EQ15JQ delivered features that improved data integrity, reduced security risks, and enabled scalable, maintainable backend services.
