March 2026 focused on strengthening CI/CD security, simplifying release artifact management, and consolidating deployment pipelines across desktop and mobile clients. In mattermost/desktop, we hardened the GitHub Actions workflow to mitigate a command injection risk, and improved artifact handling by uploading artifacts to a new S3 bucket with generated links corrected to use proper DNS. In mattermost/mobile, we implemented a unified S3 bucket strategy for release artifacts using IAM/OIDC, updated iOS release workflows to reference the new bucket, and streamlined beta/release uploads to a single bucket, reducing complexity and improving deployment security.
