During December 2024, Nortren worked on the 2gis/on-premise-helm-charts repository, focusing on improving deployment accuracy for on-premise environments. He developed a feature to synchronize deployment version information across Helm chart components, ensuring that Chart.yaml, README.md, and values.yaml consistently reflected the latest application version. Using DevOps practices and Helm, with configuration managed in YAML, Nortren addressed configuration drift by establishing a single source of truth for versioning. This approach enhanced release hygiene and environment traceability, reducing alignment issues during deployments. The work demonstrated a targeted, process-driven solution to maintain consistency and reliability in the release workflow for Helm-based deployments.
