During February 2025, Xyn contributed to the apache/bigtop-manager repository by refining the Create Cluster flow’s user interface using Vue and front end development skills. Xyn focused on UI simplification by removing the icon from the Create Cluster button and consolidating UI text into a single, generalized translation key. This approach improved maintainability and prepared the codebase for easier localization, reducing future translation overhead. The work addressed the BIGTOP-4362 issue, ensuring traceability within the project’s workflow. While the contribution was limited to a single feature over one month, it demonstrated thoughtful attention to internationalization and user experience in a targeted context.
