Worked on apache/bigtop-manager to enhance build reliability and service clarity over a two-month period. Addressed cross-platform build issues by standardizing shell script line endings to Unix format, resolving Maven build failures caused by Windows-style endings and streamlining CI processes. Subsequently, improved operational transparency by renaming core Java application classes and updating related scripts and tests, ensuring process names aligned with deployment and monitoring conventions. Utilized Java, Shell scripting, and build automation techniques to reduce ambiguity for operators and accelerate onboarding. The work focused on targeted refactoring and scripting improvements, resulting in more consistent builds and clearer service identity.
