
Worked on the DSC-McMaster-U/ai-journal repository over two months, delivering user-facing journaling features and robust backend APIs. Built a complete Journal Entries UI with navigation, mood icons, and DaisyUI-based styling, while implementing a Tabs Management API supporting full CRUD operations and OpenAPI documentation. Enhanced UI/UX reliability by refining navigation, responsive states, and data model consistency. Developed a Mood API Testing UI enabling frontend CRUD for moods, and strengthened backend security by enforcing authentication and user ownership. Leveraged JavaScript, React, and Express.js throughout, focusing on maintainable code, database interaction, and scalable architecture to support multi-user journaling and future extensibility.
