Worked on the DSC-McMaster-U/ai-journal repository to deliver a refreshed authentication experience, building a dedicated login page featuring Google OAuth onboarding. Focused on frontend development using Next.js, React, and Tailwind CSS, the work included implementing a background gradient and custom-styled login button to enhance the first-use onboarding flow. The technical approach prioritized seamless sign-in and reduced friction for new users, while laying the foundation for future integration with additional OAuth providers and improved session management. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as the primary emphasis was on feature delivery and user experience refinement within the authentication flow.
