During June 2025, Paul Beckwith enhanced the Kubernetes installer in the newrelic/open-install-library repository, focusing on expanding multi-cloud support and installation reliability. He added OpenShift environment compatibility and standardized GKE Autopilot provider configuration, reducing the risk of misconfiguration across deployments. Using DevOps practices and Shell scripting, Paul implemented CLI updates to propagate provider settings and introduced validation logic to enforce mutual exclusivity between OpenShift and GKE Autopilot selections. By deriving the global provider value from environment-specific flags, he ensured consistent behavior across environments. This work demonstrated a methodical approach to improving installation integrity and maintainability within Kubernetes-based workflows.
