Worked on cloud infrastructure and observability enhancements across the newrelic/entity-definitions, newrelic/terraform-provider-newrelic, and newrelic/newrelic-client-go repositories. Delivered five features over two months, including standardizing ElastiCache Redis metric names and introducing an alertable AWS Direct Connect Virtual Interface entity type to improve monitoring and lifecycle management. Optimized metric collection defaults in Terraform provider integrations and added documentation for AWS EU Sovereign Cloud setup, ensuring compliance and operational clarity. Used Go, Terraform, and YAML to implement these changes, collaborating closely with other teams and maintaining clear documentation. The work focused on metric consistency, integration efficiency, and robust cloud monitoring capabilities.
