Developed and integrated an environment variable masking feature for the usebruno/bruno repository, focusing on enhancing security by preventing sensitive environment variables from appearing in outputs and logs. The work involved refactoring core functions to seamlessly incorporate the masking logic, which improved both code readability and maintainability. Utilizing JavaScript, Node, and React, the implementation laid the foundation for future security reviews and additional hardening through comprehensive tests and documentation. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as the primary focus remained on delivering this new feature and ensuring its robust integration into the existing front end development workflow.
