Worked on the Astral-trails repository to enhance decision support for space mission planning by developing a configurable Radiation Dose Comparator. Introduced a Duration Slider using Streamlit and Pandas, replacing the previous dropdown to allow users to select custom mission durations in days, thereby enabling more flexible radiation risk comparisons. Addressed code quality by performing targeted cleanup, specifically removing trailing spaces in docstrings to improve readability and maintainability. Utilized Python and SQL throughout the development process. The work focused on both delivering user-facing features and reducing technical debt, resulting in a more robust and maintainable codebase for future enhancements.
