During February 2025, ROCKsBot developed an automated release metadata update system for the canonical/oci-factory repository. This feature streamlined the process of synchronizing release metadata with the latest CI and artifact runs across multiple components, including valkey, alertmanager, python, and kiali. By leveraging automation, CI/CD pipelines, and JSON scripting, ROCKsBot eliminated the need for manual edits to release files, improving both traceability and audit readiness. The solution integrated commit-driven updates using GitHub Actions, ensuring that release information remained current and accurate. Over the month, ROCKsBot focused on automation and reliability, delivering a robust feature without introducing new bugs.
