During September 2025, Jianguang Ren focused on targeted code maintenance within the FFmpeg/FFmpeg repository, specifically addressing the swresample module. He removed deprecated dead code related to the 'uch' option from the context initialization, clarifying and simplifying the initialization path. Working in C, he applied careful code cleanup techniques to reduce technical debt and improve maintainability without introducing user-facing changes. This work lowered the risk of confusion or misuse of outdated options and set a clearer foundation for future development. Jianguang demonstrated a methodical approach to C programming and codebase hygiene, contributing to the reliability of the project’s core components.
