Worked on the grafana/grafana-operator repository to deliver a targeted data source specification for recording rules, introducing an optional field to specify the data source for metrics. This addition enabled more precise data handling and improved integration with Grafana alerting, while maintaining backward compatibility by making the new field optional and minimizing configuration changes. The implementation involved backend development using Go and YAML, leveraging Kubernetes operator patterns and collaborative Git workflows to ensure code quality and maintainability. No major bugs were reported during this period, reflecting a focused engineering effort on feature delivery and seamless integration within existing infrastructure and workflows.
