Worked on the moby/moby repository to enhance the reliability and determinism of OCI manifest exports, focusing on backend development and testing using Go and Docker. Addressed a bug that caused checksum drift in tar exports by stabilizing timestamp handling for the blobs/digest directory, ensuring consistent checksums for exported images. Improved the export pipeline by adjusting modification times post-export and updated integration tests to validate tar member mtimes against image creation times, accounting for containerd-snapshotter state. These changes reduced nondeterminism in exported images, improved reproducibility for caching and CI pipelines, and strengthened the overall reliability of the image export workflow.
