Developed and contributed a new Homebrew formula for Gotun, a lightweight HTTP proxy over SSH, to the homebrew-core repository. This work provided developers with a secure, easily-installable proxy tool that streamlines local development and testing workflows. The implementation involved authoring the formula using Ruby, specifying installation steps, managing dependencies, and creating functional tests to ensure reliability. All changes were tracked and aligned with Homebrew-core’s packaging standards, demonstrating disciplined commit practices and adherence to repository quality requirements. The project showcased skills in Ruby, package management, and test-driven development, expanding the available tooling for SSH-based proxy workflows in the Homebrew ecosystem.
