Worked on improving the reliability of headless service routing within the envoyproxy/gateway repository by addressing a critical bug related to endpoint routing validation. Using Go and YAML, introduced explicit validation logic that prompts users to set the routing type to 'Endpoint' when endpoint routing is disabled, preventing misconfigurations and ensuring correct traffic flow. Enhanced the translator component to provide earlier feedback during deployment, allowing routing issues to surface sooner and reducing troubleshooting time. Focused on backend development and service routing in a Kubernetes environment, the work aligned technical changes with operational needs, minimizing production risk and supporting smoother operator experiences.
