Worked on the AOSC-Dev/aosc-os-abbs repository to deliver a security-focused upgrade of the Kea DHCP server, bringing it to version 2.6.3. The work involved updating dependencies, hardening runtime paths by aligning control sockets and logs to the /run/kea directory, and introducing a new mechanism for generating and securing API passwords to enhance credential management. Leveraged skills in configuration management, package management, and system administration, primarily using Shell scripting. The update also included refining tmpfiles.d configuration to ensure proper lifecycle management of the kea runtime directory, supporting more reliable restarts and improved deployment hygiene for the DHCP service.
