In May 2025, Staph upgraded the Kea DHCP server in the AOSC-Dev/aosc-os-abbs repository, focusing on security and operational reliability. Using Shell scripting and leveraging skills in configuration and package management, Staph migrated runtime paths to /run/kea for improved control socket and log handling. The work included implementing a secure API password generation mechanism, enhancing credential management and deployment practices. Updates to tmpfiles.d configuration ensured the correct lifecycle of the kea runtime directory, supporting reliable service restarts. This feature-driven contribution demonstrated depth in system administration and configuration management, addressing both security and maintainability within a single, well-scoped release.
