Worked on the reearth-flow repository to deliver seven new features over two months, focusing on advanced geometry processing and spatial analytics. Developed processors for convex hull accumulation, attribute-based dissolving, and unifying 2D geometries, all with robust error handling, documentation, and end-to-end testing. Implemented spatial indexing improvements using RTree and introduced tools for municipality-based overlap analysis and Japanese standard grid division. Enhanced 3D geometry handling with utilities for footprint projection and planarity rotation. Integrated these features into workflow automation, leveraging Rust, YAML, and GeoJSON processing to improve performance, reliability, and the breadth of supported geospatial analytics in production environments.
March 2025 performance summary for reearth-flow: Delivered four engine-level features that enhance geometry processing, 3D handling, and workflow integration. Implementations are integrated into the existing action processor and come with documentation and examples, enabling real-time data processing improvements and expanded coverage for Japanese markets.
