Worked on the atlanhq/atlas-metastore repository to address a parsing issue affecting Slack channel links within the access-control pre-processor. Focused on backend development using Java, the work involved updating the regular expression logic to correctly handle hyphens and periods in Slack domain names, thereby reducing parsing errors and improving the reliability of link processing. This targeted bug fix enhanced the robustness of access-control policy enforcement by ensuring accurate domain validation. Demonstrated skills in regular expressions, code debugging, and production patching, with changes tracked through a traceable commit. The work contributed to more secure and dependable workflow management in the repository.
