Worked on enhancing observability for the grafana/synthetic-monitoring-agent repository by improving logging practices and system visibility. Focused on backend development using Go, the work involved changing the default log level to WarnLevel, ensuring that warning messages are now included in the default logs. Additionally, private probe success messages were configured to be published to Loki, which aids in operator visibility and streamlines troubleshooting. These changes addressed a specific bug, resulting in more efficient triage and improved reliability for the monitoring agent. The approach demonstrated attention to operational needs and effective use of logging technologies to support system maintainability.
