Worked on the Orange-OpenSource/community.zabbix repository to deliver a deployment enhancement for Zabbix proxy on Debian-based systems. Developed a feature that introduces the zabbix_proxy_install_database_client variable, allowing conditional installation of the MySQL client. This approach, implemented using Ansible and YAML, enables more flexible and environment-specific provisioning by reducing unnecessary dependencies in system administration workflows. The change was focused and directly addressed a specific deployment need, supporting cleaner infrastructure management. No bug fixes were recorded during this period, and the work concentrated on a single, well-scoped feature that improves the maintainability and adaptability of Zabbix proxy deployments.
