Worked on the Orange-OpenSource/community.zabbix repository to deliver a feature that standardized Ansible facts gathering for Zabbix agent and proxy roles. The approach involved removing gather_facts: false from individual tasks and consolidating facts gathering at a higher level, aligning with established Ansible best practices. This change, implemented using Ansible and YAML, improved deployment consistency and maintainability by reducing per-task configuration. The update also enhanced reproducibility and made it easier for new contributors to onboard, as future enhancements and audits are now more straightforward. No bugs were fixed during this period, with the focus placed entirely on this targeted improvement.
