Worked on the grafana/k6 repository to deliver comprehensive integration tests for the OpenTelemetry output feature, focusing on validating metric exports such as gauge, counter, and trend over both HTTP and gRPC protocols. Leveraged Go and integration testing frameworks to ensure end-to-end correctness of OTLP exports, updating module dependencies to include the latest OpenTelemetry proto packages. This approach strengthened the reliability of telemetry features by verifying both sides of the OTLP pipeline and aligning with current specifications. The work improved regression safety and developer confidence in telemetry exports, emphasizing robust testing practices and up-to-date dependency management within the Go ecosystem.
