Worked on the togethercomputer/together-python repository to deliver support for the TRANSCRIBE model type, focusing on backend development and version control using Python and TOML. Updated the ModelType enum to resolve errors in get_models when transcribe was requested, ensuring the client’s behavior matched server capabilities and release notes. This alignment enabled Whisper-based transcription workflows and improved API reliability for transcription operations. The work addressed integration challenges by synchronizing client and server expectations, reducing runtime errors and unlocking downstream use of Whisper models. The contribution centered on a single feature, emphasizing careful coordination between API definitions and runtime behavior for robust integration.
