During May 2025, Universe Benzene focused on stabilizing package management for the microcai/gentoo-zh repository by upgrading the Mamba package to version 2.1.1 and adjusting its slot to 0/3. This work involved careful build system configuration and package management using Ebuild, with the goal of ensuring compatibility with newer Python versions while maintaining existing functionality for Gentoo users. By disabling Python 3.10 support, Universe Benzene proactively reduced the risk of breakage as Python evolves. Although no bugs were fixed, the changes delivered a smoother upgrade path and preserved system stability, reflecting a thoughtful and targeted engineering approach.
