Worked on the schneems/TechEmpowerFrameworkBenchmarks repository to improve reliability and maintainability of the HTTP server using PHP and ReactPHP. Developed enhanced error handling by introducing a dedicated error listener, enabling uncaught errors to return clear 500 responses with descriptive messages sent directly to clients. This approach improved runtime diagnostics and made debugging more efficient by centralizing error logging and messaging. Additionally, contributed to project sustainability by updating maintainer governance, formally adding a new maintainer to strengthen stewardship. The work focused on backend development, emphasizing observability, clear client communication, and long-term project health through targeted feature delivery and administrative updates.
