Developed and released the initial MT8196 Video Companion Processor (VCP) firmware v1.0.0 for the NVIDIA/linux-firmware repository, enabling core features such as video encoding, decoding, VMM, and VDISP on the MT8196 platform. The work focused on embedded systems and firmware development, utilizing Assembly to deliver a versioned firmware artifact that supports hardware-software integration. By anchoring the release with a documented commit, the developer ensured traceability and reproducibility for future updates. This contribution established a clear baseline for MT8196 VCP firmware, addressing integration needs and providing a foundation for further enhancements in embedded video processing capabilities.
