Worked on enhancing Markdown-based text filtering and TTS rendering in the pipecat-ai/docs and pipecat-ai/pipecat repositories, focusing on reliability and configurability. Developed a new parameter in Python to control repeated-character sequence removal within MarkdownTextFilter, updating documentation in Markdown to clarify usage and provide practical examples. Addressed a bug in header stripping to prevent TTS header marker leakage, ensuring headers are removed before newline collapse and preserving trailing whitespace for accurate streaming output. Emphasized robust testing by adding unit and integration tests, leveraging regular expressions and text processing skills to validate edge cases and maintain high-quality, maintainable code.
