During July 2025, Pikagaufre developed a reproducible development environment for Firebase Studio within the HeyPuter/puter repository. Leveraging Nix for environment configuration and DevOps practices, Pikagaufre introduced a dev.nix setup that streamlines onboarding and ensures consistent local development experiences. The work included adding an icon asset and updating the .gitignore to exclude local settings.json files, which helps maintain repository hygiene and prevents configuration drift among contributors. While no bugs were reported or fixed during this period, the contribution established a solid baseline for future Firebase Studio integration, focusing on maintainability and efficient environment provisioning for the development team.
