Worked on the Monkestation/Monkeris repository to enhance code cleanliness and introduce performance monitoring capabilities. Focused on code refactoring using DM, the work involved removing duplicate include statements, simplifying conditional logic, and eliminating an unused macro to streamline the codebase and reduce technical debt. Introduced a tick-based performance monitoring check, improving observability and enabling future performance profiling. All changes were consolidated into a single commit for easier review and rollback, supporting maintainability. The approach emphasized bug fixing and code refactoring skills, resulting in improved readability and maintainability while preparing the codebase for ongoing performance analysis and future development needs.
