Worked on upgrading Argo CD to version 3 within the zapier/kubechecks repository, focusing on resolving an annotation tracking bug and improving deployment stability. Addressed compatibility issues with newer Argo CD and Kubernetes versions by tuning memory limits and adjusting cluster configurations, which reduced upgrade risks and enhanced reliability. Utilized Go and YAML to implement these changes, ensuring minimal downtime during the upgrade process. The work also included improvements to monitoring signals, positioning the project for smoother future upgrades. This engineering effort emphasized stability and maintainability, leveraging skills in Argo CD, GitOps, and Helm to support robust deployment workflows.
