April 2026 performance snapshot for harness/harness focused on Linked Repositories improvements that strengthen integration reliability and data integrity. Delivered a source URL API for linked repositories with robust empty URL validation and enhanced error handling, and introduced scoped connector_ref for linked repositories to ensure non-empty references and correct decoding based on repository context. Added tests for the new behavior and aligned with lint and quality standards. Impact includes reduced misconfig, improved automation reliability, and clearer error reporting for downstream teams.

March 2026: Delivered security-conscious input validation and API hardening in harness/harness. Implemented maximum length validation for check report summaries and links (2048 chars), sanitized branch names in the commit API to strip the refs/heads/ prefix, improved user-facing error messages for invalid branch names and unsupported templates, and upgraded Go to 1.25.8 to remediate CVE-2026-25679. These changes improve data integrity, security, and developer experience while reducing support overhead and aligning with security and reliability standards.
