Worked on the google/adk-python repository to enhance caching reliability by introducing customizable HTTP options for cache creation. Developed and merged a feature that added the create_http_options method to ContextCacheConfig, enabling users to set timeouts and prevent cache initialization stalls. This solution aligned with the existing HTTP options framework and improved control over backend caching behavior. The work involved close collaboration with other contributors, including co-authorship, and was delivered through a structured code review process. Utilized Python for backend and API development, incorporating unit testing to ensure robust integration and maintainability within the project’s caching and configuration systems.
