Worked on the canonical/opentelemetry-collector-k8s-operator repository to enhance observability for Kubernetes deployments using Pebble. Developed a feature in Python that adds a dedicated pebble_service label to Pebble logs exported to Loki, improving traceability and enabling more effective correlation between logs and traces within Loki pipelines. Focused on backend development, logging, and monitoring, the work addressed the need for better log categorization and streamlined issue diagnosis. Documented the repository changes and prepared for release, laying the foundation for future enhancements in log labeling and monitoring. No bugs were fixed during this period, with efforts concentrated on delivering this targeted feature.
