Worked on the EightfoldAI/octuple repository to enhance the accessibility of the Slider component, focusing on improving screen reader support for users with disabilities. The approach involved adding ARIA attributes such as aria-labelledby and aria-valuetext, as well as ensuring that visually hidden labels are properly exposed to assistive technologies. Implemented comprehensive tests in JavaScript and TypeScript to validate these accessibility improvements and prevent future regressions. Updated related documentation and code comments to reflect the changes, supporting maintainability and clarity for future contributors. Utilized React and front end development best practices to deliver a more inclusive and robust user experience.
