During April 2025, Alex Bottchen enhanced the puppetlabs/puppetlabs-peadm repository by integrating Infra-Assistant database support into the add_database plan for Puppet Enterprise 2025.3.0 and newer. Using Puppet and DevOps practices, Alex ensured the solution handled database names correctly across evolving PE versions, reducing migration and runtime issues. To improve CI reliability, Alex addressed build instability by pinning the provision dependency to a specific released version, stabilizing automated workflows. The work demonstrated a strong grasp of Infrastructure as Code principles and careful attention to compatibility, resulting in a robust feature that streamlines database integration and supports ongoing platform maintainability.
