Developed an AI Image Generation Plugin for the github/awesome-copilot repository, enabling developers to create visual assets directly within their IDE. The feature integrated OpenAI’s gpt-image-2 and Google Gemini models, allowing users to generate icons, sprites, textures, and mockups without leaving the coding environment. The implementation included seamless onboarding for user-provided API keys and a user-friendly in-IDE interface, streamlining the asset creation process and reducing context switching during development. The work involved end-to-end delivery, from design and integration to user experience, utilizing skills in AI integration, plugin development, and languages such as JSON and Markdown.
