Developed and delivered an automated GitHub Release System for the github/awesome-copilot repository, focusing on streamlining release management and improving traceability. The solution integrated Git, GitHub, and Bash to automate versioning and changelog generation, leveraging commit-reference heuristics and SemVer-based decision rules to determine version bumps and changelog entries. Documentation updates were made to clearly describe the new release workflow and its usage. This end-to-end release automation reduced manual effort and enhanced reliability from commit to production, providing a structured nine-step workflow that supports maintainable, transparent releases. No major bugs were reported or fixed during this development period.
