During October 2025, contributed to the mongodb/leafygreen-ui repository by developing a new variant prop for the GalleryIndicator component, enabling enhanced theming customization and consistent branding across MongoDB dashboards. The implementation introduced a baseGreen style, aligning with existing design tokens and UI patterns to improve visual consistency and reusability in downstream applications. This work involved updating the component’s API and visual presentation using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with careful attention to UI/UX principles. All changes were documented and version-controlled, ensuring traceability and maintainability. The feature addressed the need for flexible per-theme customization without introducing new bugs or regressions.
