Worked on stabilizing the DNS filter feature for the metalbear-co/mirrord repository, focusing on backend development using Rust. Addressed a key bug by removing the unstable marking from the DNS filter, which reduced command-line warnings and eliminated outdated documentation, resulting in a clearer configuration process for users. Updated documentation to reflect the feature’s stable status and improved CI reliability by managing dependency warnings through cargo-deny. This targeted work enabled smoother adoption of the DNS filter in production environments, supporting earlier and safer releases. The approach emphasized codebase clarity, user experience, and robust CI pipelines, leveraging Rust and backend engineering skills.
