Developed and integrated OAuth-based authentication for the Insights API within the ansible/awx repository, enabling secure client credentials token flows and seamless session management. Leveraged Python and YAML to update Ansible playbooks, incorporating OAuth configuration for automated, scalable deployment. This work established a foundation for programmatic access to Insights data while enhancing the security posture through token-based access control. The implementation focused on automation readiness and future auditability of token management, with no client-facing outages during rollout. The approach demonstrated depth in API integration, authentication mechanisms, and infrastructure-as-code practices, addressing both immediate security needs and long-term maintainability requirements.
