Over a two-month period, contributed backend enhancements to hmcts/pcs-frontend and hmcts/prl-ccd-definitions, focusing on observability and deployment reliability. In hmcts/pcs-frontend, implemented S2S authentication observability by instrumenting logs to capture key authentication details, improving debugging and incident response without altering user-facing functionality. For hmcts/prl-ccd-definitions, addressed a critical environment configuration bug to ensure preview deployments only override variables when explicitly set, increasing deployment predictability. Additionally, introduced Playwright-based smoke tests into the Jenkins CI pipeline, accelerating feedback and strengthening automated validation. Work utilized Groovy, JavaScript, and TypeScript, emphasizing backend development, CI/CD, environment configuration, and robust testing practices.
