Worked on stabilizing WebSocket proxy handling in the kenzok8/sublink-worker repository by addressing a critical issue with HTTP header casing. Focused on backend development using JavaScript, the work involved correcting the 'Host' header to lowercase 'host' within SurgeConfigBuilder, ensuring compatibility with proxy expectations and preventing header-related failures. This targeted bug fix improved the reliability of WebSocket proxy connections and reduced the risk of production incidents. The approach emphasized maintainability by delivering a traceable, easily reversible commit, supporting ongoing maintenance and future feature readiness. The work demonstrated attention to protocol compliance and robust backend engineering practices within a JavaScript environment.
