Worked on the ankane/iceberg-go repository to deliver secure access to private Google Cloud Storage blobs by enabling authenticated HTTP clients. Implemented a configurable approach using Go and Google Cloud client libraries, introducing a gcs.usejsonapi flag that allows the system to prefer authenticated credentials when available and gracefully fall back to anonymous access if needed. Expanded integration testing by developing a dedicated suite to verify authenticated access behavior and ensure resilience. Focused on cloud storage and integration testing, the work provided a robust, flexible access path for GCS resources, enhancing both security and configurability without introducing any bug fixes during the period.
