Worked on the containers/container-libs repository to deliver core improvements to image copying reliability and usability, focusing on multi-architecture workflows. Developed features in Go for backend development and container management, including sparse manifest list management that allows keeping or stripping non-copied instances to improve registry compatibility. Introduced platform-based image selection using an InstancePlatforms field, enabling users to filter images by OS and architecture without manual digest lookups. The technical approach combined efficient set-based lookups with backward-compatible logic, reducing registry errors and manual intervention. These enhancements streamlined deployment pipelines and improved error messaging for missing platforms in real-world registry environments.
